Membership criteria
To be a member of TCSAGÎM, an organization must :
- Be a non-profit organization incorporated in Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine ;
- Through direct contact with people experiencing food insecurity, the organization offers concrete solutions that respond to the needs expressed with a personalized approach;
- Intervene through the creation of tools, the development of services and mutual aid in the community;
- Adhere to the objects of the corporation and be in agreement with the objectives of TCSAGÎM ;
- A significant part of its activities must be aimed at achieving greater food security or self-sufficiency for the populations it serves;
- Apply for membership to the Membership Committee, mandated by the General Meeting, which analyzes the application in the light of the membership policy in force, and makes its recommendation to the Board of Directors.
- Adhere to the principles of autonomous community action:
- 1. Be a non-profit organization
- 2. To be an organization rooted in its community
- 3. A democratic community life
- 4. Be autonomous in mission, practices, approaches and orientations
- 5. Have been formed on the initiative of community members
- 6. A mission that fosters social transformation
- 7. A global approach to corporate citizenship
- 8. Have a board of directors independent of the public network
- Member organizations may or may not be accredited by a government department.
