Perfect Recipe – Cod Fish Cakes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. butter, divided
  • 500 ml (2 cups) mashed potatoes
  • 250 ml (1 cup) desalinated cod, cooked
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) all-purpose flour

 

PREPARATION

  • Fry the onion in butter.
  • Combine the onion with the mashed potatoes and cooked cod. Add the egg, salt and pepper, and mix well.
  • Form balls and press them to shape patties. Coat with flour.
  • Fry the patties in butter until golden brown.
